Our General Terms and Conditions are changing with effect from 3 June 2015 for both new and existing customers. View a copy of the new terms.
We have aimed to make the General Terms and Conditions clearer and easier for you to understand.
The most important changes are in the following key areas:
- how we notify you of changes to our terms, product features, fees and interest rates;
- when we are required to act on instructions in relation to accounts, products or services provided to you;
- when accounts, products or services provided to you may be cancelled or suspended;
- our electronic banking responsibilities and liability;
- the circumstances where our liability to you may be limited;
- the rules that apply when others are authorised to use an account, product or service provided to you, or where you share an account, product or service jointly with others; and
- the rights we have if you fail to pay amounts owed to us, or otherwise breach our terms.
We have also made other changes to better reflect the requirements of the New Zealand Banking Code of Practice, and to clarify how we collect and use your personal information.
